माता सप्तश्रृंगी देवी

नाशिक जिल्ह्यातील वणी येथे सप्तशृंगी देवीचे मंदिर आहे. पुराणात उल्लेखलेल्या १०८ पीठांपैकी महाराष्ट्रात असलेल्या देवीच्या साडेतीन पीठांपैकी ते अर्धे पीठ आहे.

सप्तशृंगी हा भारताच्या महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील एक किल्ला आहे. तो नाशिक जवळील नांदुरी गावाजवळ वसलेला असून अनेक कुटुंबांची कुलदैवत असलेल्या सप्तशृंगी देवीचे तीर्थक्षेत्र आहे. देवीचे अठराभुजा सप्तशृंग रूप येथे पहावयास मिळते. येथील गाभाऱ्याला शक्तिद्वार, सूर्यद्वार आणि चंद्रद्वार असे तीन दरवाजे आहेत. या तिन्ही दरवाजातून देवीचे दर्शन घडते.

माता सप्तश्रृंगी देवीची मूर्ती ८ फूट उंचीची आहे. ही मूर्ती शेंदुराने लिंपली आहे. येथे देवी सप्तशृंगीने प्रत्येक हातामध्ये वेगवेगळी आयुधे धारण केली आहेत. देवीला अकरा वार साडी लागते व चोळीला तीन खण लागतात. डोक्‍यावर सोन्याचा मुकुट, कर्णफुले, नथ आहे. तसेच गळ्यात मंगळसूत्र आणि पुतळ्यांचे गाठले आहे. कमरपट्टा, पायात तोडे, असे अलंकार देवीच्या अंगावर घालण्यात येतात.

हे स्थान नाशिक जिल्ह्यात उत्तरेस ५५ किलोमीटर अंतरावरील दिंडोरी-कळवण तालुक्‍यांच्या सरहद्दीवर आहे. हे स्थान सह्याद्रीच्या पूर्व - पश्‍चिम डोंगररांगेत मोडते. सह्याद्रीच्या पठारावर असलेले हे ठिकाण समुद्रसपाटीपासून सुमारे ४५६९ फूट उंचीवर आहे.

देवीचे दर्शन घेण्यासाठी एका बाजूने ४७२ पायऱ्या आहेत. चढणीचा मार्ग असून, दर्शन घेतल्यानंतर दुसऱ्या बाजूने परतीचा मार्ग आहे. हे दोन्ही मार्ग पायऱ्यांचे आहेत. पहाटे पाच वाजता सप्तशृंगी देवीचे मंदिर उघडते. सहा वाजता काकड आरती होते. आठ वाजता देवीच्या महापूजेला सुरुवात होते. या पूजेमध्ये मूर्तीला पंचामृत स्नान घालण्यापासून ते पैठणी अथवा शालू नेसवून तिचा साज-शृंगार केला जातो. पेढा आणि वेगवेगळी फळे याचा नैवेद्य दाखवला जातो. बारा वाजता महानैवेद्य आरती होते. सायंकाळी ७.३० वाजता शेजारती होते व मंदिराचे दरवाजे बंद होतात.

Mother Saptashrungi Devi

There is a temple of Goddess Saptashrungi at Vani in Nashik district. Of the 108 peethas mentioned in the Puranas, it is half of the three and a half peethas of the Goddess in Maharashtra.

Saptashrungi is a fort in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is located near Nanduri village near Nashik and is the pilgrimage site of Saptashrungi Devi, the family deity of many families. The octagonal form of the goddess can be seen here. The temple has three gates namely Shaktidwar, Suryadwar and Chandradwar. Darshan of Goddess takes place through these three doors.

The idol of Goddess Saptashrungi is 8 feet high. This idol is covered with redlead. Here the goddess Saptashrungi holds different weapons in each hand. The goddess wears a sari eleven times and the choli wears three. On the head is a gold crown, earrings, nose. Also Mangalsutra and statues have been reached around the neck. The goddess is adorned with belts and legs.

This place is on the border of Dindori-Kalwan taluka at a distance of 55 km to the north in Nashik district. This place falls in the east-west range of Sahyadri. Located on the Sahyadri Plateau, this place is about 4569 feet above sea level.

There are 472 steps on one side to take darshan of Goddess. There is a climbing route and a return route on the other side after visiting. Both ways are steps. The temple of Goddess Saptashrungi opens at 5 am. Kakad Aarti was at six o'clock. The Mahapuja of the Goddess begins at eight o'clock. In this puja, the idol is adorned with Panchamrut bath, paithani or shalu. Offerings of pedas and various fruits are shown. The Mahanaivedya Aarti was at twelve o'clock. The neighbors are at 7.30 pm and the doors of the temple are closed.
