अचला किल्ला

अचला किल्ला  हा  सातमाळा   पर्वतरांगेत    पश्चिमेला आहे. तसेच वणीच्या उत्तरेस वसलेला आहे.

हा      किल्ला   महाराष्ट्रातील    नाशिक      जिल्ह्यात    आहे.    नाशिकपासून       ५५ कि.मी.             अंतरावर आहे.  अचला     हे वणीपासुन  २६ कि.मी.     अंतरावर  असलेल्या     बिलवाडी    गावाजवळ असून गुजरातच्या सापूताऱ्यापासून ३० कि.मी. अंतरावर दक्षिणेस आहे.

अचला किल्ला अजिंठा-सातमाळा पर्वतरांगाचा एक भाग आहे. अचला किल्ल्याची उंची ४०४०फूट म्हणजेच १२३१ मीटर समुद्र सपाटीपासून आहे.

अचला किल्ल्याचे क्षेत्रफळ खूपच लहान आहे. या किल्ल्याला बरीच तटबंदी नाही.  गडमाथा अत्यंत अरुंद आहे. गडावर फारसे पाहण्यासारखे काही अवशेष नाहीत. गडावर पाण्याची एक-दोन टाकी असून त्यापैकी एकासह पाणी आहे व दुसरे एक रिकामे आहे.

येथे एक दगड देखील आहे जो शेंदुरा (नारंगी रंग) मध्ये रंगलेला दगड आहे. हा दगड सुमारे 7 फूट (2.13 मीटर) आहे. सर्वात लांब आणि मोठा दगड असल्यामुळे, येथील एका गावाला पिंपरीवाडी किंवा “दगड पिंपरी” या नावाने ओळखले जाते.

Achala Fort

Achala fort is located in the Western part of Satmala mountain range. It is also located North of Vani.

This fort is located in Nashik district of Maharashtra. 55 km distance from Nashik District. Achala is 26 km from Vani. It is near Bilwadi Village.  The distance to the south of 30 km from Saputara in Gujarat. 

Achala fort is a part of Ajanta-Satmala mountain range. The height of Achala fort is 4040 feet i.e. 1231 meters above sea level.

The area of ​​Achala fort is very small. This fort does not have many ramparts. The fort is extremely narrow. There are not many remains to see on the fort. There are one or two water tanks on the fort, one of which has water and the other one is empty.

There is also a stone which is painted in Readlead (orange color). This stone is about 7 feet (2.13 meters) long. As it is the longest and largest stone, a village here is known as Pimpriwadi or "Stone Pimpri".
